Australian Standards Online

Standards Australia Online is a database of Australian Standards, which are published documents setting out specifications ensuring products, services and systems consistently perform the way they were intended to. They establish a common language which defines quality and safety criteria.

Standards Australia Online requires users to register an account before being able to view standards. Follow the below steps to register.

Step 1: Sign in to Australian Standards Online

Go to Australian Standards Online and sign in with the following account details:

Username: 7321861270
Password: OHFJFVVZPG
Last Name/Location: your last name, followed by a /, and then your city (e.g. Cole/Lower Hutt).

Click the Log In button.

Step 4: New Registration

You will then be prompted to register an account with SAI Global to view the standard.

As it is your first time accessing a standard, select New Registration

If you have already registered, enter your Username and Password and click the Sign In button

Step 6: Verify Your Account

Enter the verification code sent to the email address and select Submit.

Step 8: Success

Enter your registered Email Address and Password:

Troubleshooting

You need Adobe PDF Reader installed on your device to view standards. If your device is having issues opening a standard, check wihat app your device is trying to open it with.

The library has one license to view standards on Australian Standards Online. While multiple users can log into the site, once one user has started viewing standards, no other users can also view standards. Once you have downloaded the standards you need, please log off the website so that other users can access standards.

Step 2: Go to Our Subscribed Documents

We subscribe to a subset of standards.

Click on Tools in the ribbon on the top right hand corner.

Select My Subscribed Documents to view our available standards:

Step 3: Find the Standard You Want

Scroll through the standards available to find the one you are looking for.

Select View Online to access a particular standard:

Step 5: Register your Details

Fill out the registration form with your First name, Last Name and Email Address, then click the Verify My Email button:

An email will be sent to the email address you provide with a verification code to activate the account (this may appear in your junk folder).

Step 7: Create a Password

Create a password:

You can now download standards or view them online.

Now your account has been created you can use it to sign on from the main login screen. You will still need to fill out the Last Name/Location field.
