Scientific & Medical ART (SMART) Imagebase contains a collection of high-quality illustrations and animations depicting anatomy, physiology, surgery, pathology, diseases, conditions, trauma, embryology, histology and other medical topics.

Accessing from the Library Website

Go to the library website
Click Library Links at the top of the page

Select Databases from the drop-down menu
Scroll down the alphabetically sorted list
Click Scientific & Medical ART Imagebase
Select the resource

Accessing from Moodle

Go to Moodle (Whitireia or WelTec)
Click Library on the top right of the page

Select Databases and Articles from the drop-down menu
Scroll down the alphabetically sorted list
Click Scientific & Medical ART Imagebase
Select the resource

On vs Off Campus Access

When accessing databases on campus, you will be taken directly to the link.

When accessing databases off campus, you will be prompted to sign in using your Whitireia/WelTec email address and network password.
