Turnitin is the platform Whitireia and WelTec for submitting assignments. This guide introduces you to Turnitin and shows you how to upload your assignment and how to interpret the reports.
Turnitin is a text-matching software that is used to check for originality of work.
Six Steps to Submitting in Turnitin |
1. Open up Turnitin and find your Turnitin Assignment Dropbox in Moodle. |
2. Under the My Submissions tab, click the button that says Submit Paper (on bottom right slide). |
3. Type in your submission title. Next, Drag and Drop your file into the Submission area OR click the Add icon to open the File Picker. |
4. Once the File Picker window opens, select Upload a File from the side menu and then click the Choose File button. Locate your file on your computer or USB drive and either double-click it OR click the Open button to select the file. Click the Upload this file button (bottom of screen) to add the file to the Submission area. |
5. The file should now display in the Submission area |
6. Tick the check box to confirm that this is your own work and then click the Add Submission button to submit your file |
