Formatting your assignments using Word

This guide shows you how to format your essays using Word. It is based on Whitireia and WelTec's Academic Scholarship guidelines.

Before submitting your assignment

A cover page may be required with the course name and number, assignment name, your name and the due date. Check with your tutor or programme handbook.

Your essay needs to be formatted in the following ways:

When you submit your assignment

Included your name in the file name of your assignment. This would help your tutor know who submitted what document
